SGC Bookstore welcomes you to the South Georgia College campus. South Georgia College was founded in 1906 as the 11th District Agricultural & Mechanical School. SGC is the oldest publicly supported two-year school in Georgia. The college is located in Douglas, Georgia, a friendly, growing community of 17,000. Situated just off the main highway through town, the campus is a short walk from shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The main campus is easily reached from US Highways 221 and 441 and Georgia Highways 32, 135 and 158.

Meet our bookstore staff
Daphne French,
Bookstore Manager
Daphne has been with
South Georgia College since 1999. She has managed the Bookstore since Oct 2005.
She is responsible for supervising the staff and all operations of the store
including
ordering textbooks, clothing and gift merchandise. You will also find her
greeting and assisting students, faculty and staff with their bookstore needs.
She is involved in the college community as a learning support coach and serves
on the "Student Centered Community" Committee. All your questions and
suggestions concerning bookstore operations should be addressed to Daphne.

Lionell Bennett,
Bookstore Assistant
Lionell has been employed with SGC Bookstore
since July 2007. He is responsible for
the day-to-day maintenance of the bookstore's
web site. He processes the online orders and handles the shipping
operation. You will also find him greeting and assisting students and
other bookstore customers. Any questions or suggestions concerning the SGC
